This Cross stands tall in West Texas on Interstate 40 at Groom Texas outside of Amarillo. You can see this cross for miles. Many people do not realize there is a lot to see at this cross. The stations of the cross are detailed in a circle around this giant cross, the last supper, the three crosses stand on the hill, and the empty tomb are all symbolized here. There is a brand new gift shop and chapel on the grounds as well.

It was not the best weather during this trip and the wind was crazy strong most of the way to the Canyon, 25 to 35 miles per hour, but when we started down into the Canyon, it became calm and beautiful

One of the typical motorcyclists bucket list items is to ride on Route 66 and one of the best known destinations is Adrian Texas or the mid-point of Route 66. There is nothing in this little town with the exception of the historic Mid-Point Cafe
Our ride from Amarillo to Adrian was a harrowing experience. Constant winds of 25 to 35 mph really kept me on my toes as we "leaned" into the wind for the 40 mile trip out to MidPoint.

It was a smart move for us to go with the Goldwing. We were riding 2 up all the time. We were taking the bike on vacations and other than riding to work, my wife rides everywhere with me.
The incentives to get us in this bike were substantial with the remaining american built goldwings with the 2010 model year.
We love this bike!
Lots of room, great standard features, and I love the amount of lighting we have on the bike.
